Silver Willow Meadow is a place where wonderful things happen to the fairies and sprites that live there. There is always an adventure to be had, a friend to be helped or a lesson to be learned.

I decided to create these fairy tales because I wanted to help my children learn what I feel are important life lessons. Such as self reliance, confidence and the importance of friendship just to name a few. As the Mother of two children I know that there are times when children can learn a lesson better through the positive example of a favorite character and that characters experiences. I know when I was a kid I remember reading books like 'Island to the Blue Dolphins' and being so amazed that the main character was a young girl just like me and how she was able to take care of herself even though she was all alone. I loved reading about how everyday she would go out and find food and how in spite of the fact that she was scared she always tried her best to do whatever needed to be done. That always stuck with me, it left an impression that helped me whenever I wasn't feeling so brave.

I chose to use fairies and sprites as my story tellers because they are creatures most people recognize and I personally love them. As a child I was inspired by the artwork of artists like Brian Froud, I remember looking at his beautiful watercolors of fairies and other magical creatures and just immersing myself in that world. The realm of fairy was and still is a special place where I can go and be free of everyday concerns. This is the gift that I want to extend to you and your children. I wish to invite you into the Meadow to share in the fun and fantasy.
